Basic ~ DTACT Course 101
Course Goal:
To add to and optimize self-defense skills and introduce control techniques that include physical and operational behaviorology methods that allow for de-escalation and control over dangerous or unacceptable behaviors with non-compliant subjects.
Description:
This course is designed by experts in martial arts and behavioral sciences, with decades of field experience in these areas. The course will mix science, physical defense, and psychological methods to give the student optimal survival skills with an eye towards liability mitigation for the department or agency.
Course Outline:
16 hrs.* (Four Modules) Each module consists of: Lecture – Demonstration – Practical.
The knowledge, techniques, and tactics are cumulative. Each module will review the previous modules and apply the information to the current module.
The first modules are defined by new information that will be accumulated and applied in later modules in the demonstration and practice blocks.
